Roman ghost???

Hi All

I have just come across this peice of footage that a group of people caught on camera have a look and let me know what you think?

hi james, hope all is well.... Some nice footage there.. hada good lok and i'v run it in Cool Edit pro... hard to tell with this one.. but i'm going to say "Nah don't thinkit is".. but still a good bit of Stuff. Seems to be more like smudge or water on the lens, although it does look like the "Runners" past right threw it. Would really like to know what format it was filmed in so i could convert it..

Hi All

I don't have any fancy stuff to view this technically, personally cannot see the 'Roman Soldier' figure, I can see what looks likes something waving. However........when watching the footage the
'apparition' gets brighter when the sun shines more, this can be seen by the shadows of the trees on the pathway, so I think this is some form of light projection through the trees.

Very good though.

Well, on first viewing, the 'ghost' looks fairly dubious, as if it's in another movie to be honest.

Putting the single frame on the BBC website through photoshop and it is clear that the image has been manipulated - the 'ghost' appears to be within another (transparant) frame imposed onto the video,

Guess the fact that it was filmed by a group of 'amateur film makers' tells its own story.
